Yesterday I bought the April edition of Linux Format, with Suse 7.1 Live on the cover CD. This distro boots and runs from the CD after installing 4 files (100mb reqd) into the root directory of your Windows C: drive. I got it to run perfectly on the second attempt, booting from my SCSI CDRW, after realising that the hardware detection was hanging whilst checking my SCSI Orb drive (had to insert a disk - not the first time with this problem with Orb). Thought that this distro was worth mentioning to SLUG, as it allows anybody to try linux without any need to partition Hard Drives etc, and there's not really much that you can stuff up. The distro even includes the setup of a personal firewall. Uninstall only requires deleting 4 "suse****" files from C:\ Only problem is inability to update or install programs. I'd like to "ghost" the CD to an Orb drive, with a second partition to allow for installatio of other programs, downlads etc. Can somebody please advise how to copy the CD image to another drive? Thanks Bill [EMAIL PROTECTED]
