I just installed a new Box of
RedHat7.1
I installed it with a custom configuration and
install all packges that are necessary. After finished the installation, I just
jump to my other comouter (client) and try to access the Apache server Box.
Unforyunetlly it always say 'Connection Timed out'
I look at the 'Setup' (typing 'setup' in the terminal) configuration and try to
switch off the firewall that I assumed is blocking the port and addresses for my
local area network. I choose the option 'No Firewall' and quit from the setup
menu. After rebooting, I want to double check the firewall configuration, I go
back to the 'Setup' menu and found that the option back to 'High'
It seem that I couldn't make the firewall
configuration become 'Medium' or 'Off'
Is this the reason why my other comp can't access
the Apache Server? or I missed something features in the RH7.1?
Thank You,
Phillipus.
