[SLUG] How to draw geometry in the GIMP

Sluggers,

I'm at work and my Gimp Essential reference is at home.

How do you do something really simple in the gimp like
draw a *straight* line or a nice *round* circle.
Is there a pallete tool or somthing? I've looked all over
the menu and I just don't get it.
