In the interests of involving the SLUG community a little more in SLUG
committee decisions, we've decided to publicy post the minutes for
committee meetings.

They will be archived on the SLUG website and mailed to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] An initial announcement will be sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] once the web archive is up (RSN).

Committee meetings are usually held on the tuesday two weeks after a
SLUG meeting. Since this meeting's are little late (I apologise),
expect the next one shortly..


(yes the minutes are in text/html. i was using emacs' outline-mode
previously, but i thought HTML had the most widely used bulleted-list
formatting)

  • constitution: needs to be reviewed. membership to be AGM -> AGM

  • insurance: we're overdue, so patrick to follow up (quickly)
  • bank account:
    • signaturies: need any 2 of President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer.
    • outstanding cheques for paris / cash for craige. will have to wait until after signaturies done.

Membership

  • list to be built by patrick
  • check on MacLUG memberships and quorum, etc implications
  • incentives for new members? (craige)

SLUG machine

  • account acceptable use policy
  • committee archives not accessable. are being archived tho. jeff, anand to investigate
  • decided not to make committee lists public (which would mean creating another private list anyway) - not enough "could-be-public" traffic to warrant the change
