I have got a problem! I have installed RedHat 6.2
with the loop device option... what I mean is that I have installed it on
my W95 partition ( vfat ), and it is a redhat.img file on this partition. So,
when I want to boot into Linux, I use a bootdisk created by Linux on the
instalation time and it opens the OS for me.
Well, now I have upgraded the kernel (2.2.14 to 2.4.0-0.26)
with a rpm packet, and I have tryed to make a new boot disk with the commands
mkbootdisk and mkinitrd (ps: I didn't upgrade these commands... do I need to do
it?) but when I reboot the system the kernel load stops and says it can't mount
the filesystem....
What can I do?
I can only boot up the machine with the old
kernel!!!!
