I use this script as my XMMS launcher:

find /home/jdub/Sound/music/ /home/jdub/Sol1/mp3/ -type f -name "*" | sort >
~/.xmms/xmms.m3u
exec /usr/bin/xmms
/dev/hdc5 6.9G 5.1G 1.7G 75% /home/music
stinky:/public/mp3 9.3G 8.2G 712M 93% /home/jdub/Sol1/mp3
