at one stage i was swapping onto a floppy in order to run a 486/SX
diskless X terminal.
the speed is bearable, until two processes start to swap
simultaneously. the seek time on a floppy is horrendous.
i considered raiding two floppy drives, but i realised that PC
hardware doesn't seem to be able to access both at the same time
anyway.
(once everything was running remotely with XDMCP, it was very useable
tho ;)
