Hi, I have recently upgraded from: RedHat 6.0 on a 100Mhz Pentium with 32 M of RAM to: RedHat 7 on a 1GHz Pentium III with 256 M of RAM. It now runs like a dog, taking time out while, according to "top" something called "kupdate" is soaking up 99.5% of the CPU. This seems to get worse as the computer has been up for a few hours. What's happening and how do I remedy it? Regards, Greg Wood -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
