all,

When connecting from a client to the ssh server shouldnt (x)inetd handle
the connection initialisation and further limit the address range you can
connect to?

If not (x)inetd how do you limit the access from particular hosts????

It sounds strange to me that sshd runs all the time ....

Baffled!
