My view; yours free of charge on a trial basis: The way to avoid
being annoyed by the policy decisions of large "desktop" projects is to
select one's software "a la carte". Thus, I have Konqueror and Galeon
around, and am somewhat grumpily willing to meet their lengthy library
dependencies, but am in a position to be able to not be bothered by
KDE and GNOME policy decisions.

Heh. Yes. mej showed me some stuff based on Evas, and I'm impressed,
even on my wimpy hardware.
But at least Raster wrote this for imlib2:
