file size exceeded sounds like it might have something to do with a file
becoming greater that 2gb in size (the max filesize under normal conditions).

however, which file that might be, I have no clue.

find, with the "-size" might help you locate the file in question. I wouldn't
imagine that you would have too many files bigger than, for example, 1gb.
