I've been looking at shared/distributed file systems, and to my current
reconing, they all suck.
I'm currently using NFS, but wouldn't mind moving away from it, but I
can't seem to find anything better.
I've read about (Open)AFS, CODA, PVFS, GFS..
The problem I'm having is that these are all compilicated - both to set up
and to understand.
There are some features of these that I really like - single address
space, server replication and so forth, but from what I've seen, they are
all two complex to set up and administer to be worth it.
Does anyone have any positive experences with any distributed file
systems, and if so, what they found the strengths / weaknesses to be ?
