Change their shell to rbash, and add this to /etc/shells. Note that this
still allows them to specify and access anything below their home
directories for which they have permission, it just doesn't let them cd out
of their home tree.
[ Thus, it allows them to use the entire system without setting up
complicated chroots for every user, but keeps them somewhat confined. It
doesn't give you any real security benefits. ]
