Thanks for the responses. Maybe I should be clearer. Someone gave me an electric guitar to mess around with ... no cord and no amp with it. I just want to use the computer as an amp to see if it works and if I like it. Not interested in recording or anything like that, yet. Posted question here 'cause I got an RH7.x box. I wouldn't want to swallow my pride and use another OS. So if I plug it in to the sound card what 'program', if any, do I open to hear it out of the speakers? Richard
