Hi peeps, I have a RH6.2 (10.10.0.1) and a firewall which is RH7.2 (10.10.0.254) and wanted to get the 6.2 machine to get a time update using:
rdate -s 10.10.0.254 but it gets an EOF message back and in the /var/log/secure on the firewall I get the message: Oct 26 15:40:28 firewall xinetd[21971]: FAIL: time-stream libwrap from=10.10.0.1 I'm still catching up on the new xinet services and think it's a missing /etc/xinet.d/time file or something... anyone can help? thanks, George Vieira Network Engineer Citadel Computer Systems P/L -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
