Only this time, they're slightly different...
SLUG Pearls is now a mailing list of the best SLUG posts on slug and
slug-chat. Best? Most informative, wacky, insightful, etc. If it stands out
from the crowd, it's a Pearl.
The submissions to the list are moderated, to begin with by a few committee
members, but good Pearlers (posters to Pearls) will be able to moderate too.
When you find a pearly post on one of the SLUG lists, forward it to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], changing the topic to something sensible and readable,
and if appropriate, adding your own 'editorial comment' up the top. The best
pearl post will make it to the list and into... SLUG History! ;)
Sometimes an entire thread will be a pearl, so forwarding the original email
with a link to it in the archives is the best thing to do. We can even add
historical pearls to the list - post a link to the archives with your
comment.
With everyone's help, SLUG Pearls will become the Best of SLUG mailing list,
and a great archive of SLUG posts to browse through! Hurrah!
