>From memory if there is no monitor plugged in, the machine (in the old days)
thinks there is a monochrome monitor installed... These days they beep and
winge.

My PC at home which runs my entertainment system doesn't have a
monitor/mouse or keyboard plugged in and only winges that it has a failed
service (usually the mouse), but still works....

Subject: [SLUG] 'dummy' keyboard & monitor plugs

Dear list,

As I asked yesterday, I 'm interested in using VNC to control a remote 'doze

machine. I would like to ship it 'headless' without monitor or keyboard.

Is there a plug of some kind that I can use to 'fool' doze into believing
there is a monitor etc.
