[SLUG] ttf in The Gimp

    How do I get ttf to work in The Gimp in RH 7.2?
I have done the following so far
mkdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype
cp /home/kevin/*.ttf  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype
cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype
ttmkfdir > fonts.scale
mkfontdir

Then I restarted X but, no cigar..
