Tell them to use Wordpad and don't save it.. modifying on the fly would mean
corrupting files you don't want changed.. EXE etc..

No. Never. Not in a million squillion years!

(The ramifications of doing so are beyond consideration. This is mentioned
in the FAQ, too.)
