There are also programs that attempt to predict the sequence of packets so that you can create middle man attacks. One such program is called Hunt. I have not had time to verfy how it works but a few security analyist I know swear by it. This is my assumption on TCP/IP I have not studied it indepth too much I think it is packet squences are supposed to be a little random to minimise middle man attacks. So if you see packet sequences jump around it's normal.
