Hello all, if someone could help me with this it would be much appreciated.
I have just installed mandrake 8.1 which uses the devfs device filesystem. The link /dev/cdrom is broken, which causes a problem for the cd player program. Question: how can I fix this broken link? (I.e. (I think), what line should I put in /etc/devfsd.conf that will fix this.) Also, this is the first distro in which I have not been able to get my dlink ne2000 isa network card to work by doing modprobe ne io=0xXXX irq=XX This has got me stuck, since I have reconfigured the card using the original utility for it, changing the io port, the irq, turning pnp on and off, checking for irq and io conflicts in /proc/interrupts and /proc/ioports. But no luck so far. Is there something different with mandrake 8.1 that affects this? TIA (hopefully), Josh __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Check out Yahoo!
