Hey Guys,

Seeing that we`re onto nics at the moment, I wondered if someone could give
us some insight on this. eth0 on this machine just dies after aprox 2 hours
uptime and continuous use. It's an old K6 machine, was 100% reliable and
served as a NAT router for aprox 1 year running Redhat. Recently we upgraded
the box to Redhat 7.2 (no mods, just off the CD)and now have this prob.

The machine is using 2 very good but old reliable DEC 100TX nics, chipset
"21143-PC"

I guess it proves that one shouldn`t mess with stuff that works, it's just
christmas time and things are settling down and I needed something
"hardwarish" to play with on my lunch break.....its that itch you get
sometimes!

Oh, both nics are identical on eth0 and eth1, eth1 does not display this
behaviour.
TIA,
Alan Vink
