Never heard of getmail. Fetchmail seems to have thought of every possible convoluted combination of getting mail from server to workstation (you could if you were sick enough put it on the server too and do away with SMTP between the two sites). EG via SSL, SSH, IMAP, limits on type of emails it'll pickup, how often, different accounts, splitting up multi-drop mailboxes & the likes. I had a dodgy internet connection and managed to get it to work around their limitations. EG I got it to skip all the large messages, pickup 5 at a time, disconnect, pause & reconnect until I connected via my pay-by-the-hour telstra dialup account. -- ---<GRiP>--- Web: www.arcadia.au.com/gripz Phone/fax: 02 4950 1194 Mobile: 0408 686 201 -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
