Ok, let me try again - are you using X-Windows?

If so, in your /etc/X11/XF86Config file, you should find a line in the
'Section "Pointer"':
Emulate3Buttons

I would say, just make sure its in there and not commented out.

Unfortunately there is no sysconfig in etc in my SuSE. The was only
