G'day all... I've set up samba for an NPO, and am having some difficulties.
How do I get the samba passwords to be generated from the users passwords on the local machine? Users on the windows machines can open some files, but they open as read-only by their applications. (Not all of them, but a number. They are not marked as read only in the directory. Have read, write and execute permissions in the linux directory.) This is quite urgent as the NPO cannot operate without this functionality. Any help greatly appreciated. All the best.
