Hi All, I have recently moved to Sydney from Perth because the job scene in Perth for Network Engineers is pitiful and even though I was advised against moving here by a number of people in the industry I could never have imagined that it would be even close to the situation in Perth, however it is. I have been here for about a month and have been watching the job listings dwindle into nothing, and my living situation is getting a little tight.
I would like to make a plea to anybody on this mailing list in Sydney that may a) happen to need an engineer (CCNA, one and a half years experience in an ISP environment with intermediate systems skills), or happen to know a friend or a friend of a friend that needs an engineer, or b) be prepared to offer me work experience so that I can at least keep my skills current with enough remuneration to pay for my petrol or train ticket.
