Yikes, but SCSI scanners kicked so much arse! I still haven't seen an
inexpensive, low-endish scanner that impressed me as much as the Microtek
ones, which were SCSI once upon a time. I've *never* seen a good USB or
parallel scanner.
That said, it's always the software that sucks the most, and you can get
barfage software for any kind of scanner. ;-)
[ On the subject, my AGFA 1212U jumps like a rodeo horse when I use it with
sane. Which is rather INsane. ]
