Hi all,

I've got a redhat 7.1 box with apache 1.3.20 and php 4.0.6

The system runs on the macquarie university network.

A couple days ago something strange started to happen.

The system stopped responding properly to web traffic from outside of the
university.

The system runs fine inside the university, anywhere on the internal
network I can check, and everybody i've talked to insists that there are
no firewalls casuing the problem etc.

So I guess the question is, can anybody suggest a casue in apache or php
that would cause this sort of problem ?

When I telnet to port 80 of the server from outside, it opens the
connection fine, netstat shows some data in the send-Q (it appears to be
about the right amount) but it never arrives at the other end, the far end
just sits there with the connection open waiting for the data to arrive.

I'm totally lost for hoe to fix the problem, i've been trying for a couple
of days, has anybody seen as thing like this before ??

Jason
