I mentioned to a few people that I'd checked out a restaurant nearer to UTS I think we should give a go.
I was reminded of this when I visited the SLUG web-page. I have a menu stashed somewhere (not with me now) that I meant to summarise. The place is Indian and if you're coming from Central station at the Redfern end you'd find it by walking through the pedestrian subway towards UTS then taking the first left you find which is a bit of a couryard with shops and such. Can't even remember the name off-hand but I did speak with someone who appeared to be the manager there and he said we could probably work something out with respect to a set menu. He has my business card (Grant Parnell from Linux Help) but I lost his! Anyway, he insisted on sitting me down and serving me a free sample just before the last SLUG meeting and when I didn't eat it all (I didn't want to fill up before another dinner) he insisted I take the rest in a container so they're keen for the business which could be to our advantage. It's also an indoor/outdoor venue with capacity for 80 people they reckon. Maybe someone else might like to try it out if in the vicinity, or maybe some have. I thought the food was good but then I'm not really fussy. -- ---<GRiP>--- (AKA Grant Parnell) Corporate Express Part-Time E-Commerce Department Contractor - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
