I bought a Kyocera FS1000+ just recently, which is *not* a Postscript printer, but which seems to be be driven at its rated engine speed of about 10ppm by my PIII 833MHz machine, via Ghostscript. (So, I'm puzzled about why your printer would be so slow. Is it a 1200dpi inkjet, or something?) I was tossing up between the Kyocera and a Lexmark which cost about $800 or less, which came with Postscript included as standard, no extra cost. (I gather that Lexmark are the only printers for which this is true.) The Kyocera cost marginally more, but it has the lowest running cost of all the B&W laser printers I could find - about 2.5c per page, I think, compared to about 5c per page for the Lexmark, if I recall correctly. luke -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
