Hi All,

Mount fails for any data CD on my rh7.2 box.
        I have a ricoh CD-(Re)writer - on hdc. The /etc/lilo.conf
contains [append="hdc=ide-scsi"]. And dmesg shows the
ricoh CDRW being detected. (This was the same drive
that was used to install rh7.2 onto this box).

So when I slot in a data CD (eg rh7.2 install cd 1/2),
and try to get it mount, it doesn't mount. (using either
        /dev/scd0 or /dev/hdc).

With /dev/hdc the error message is "no such device". And with
/dev/scd0, the error is somewhat long but about "too may mounts...".
Whereas, tail of /var/log/messages shows something about "invalid
        command in request queue" ?

Any ideas what may be the problem ? Is it more likely just a
plain old config problem or user (yours truly) ignorance ?
        Either way, please englighten !!

        Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rajnish
