Ahh, flame time again, ahh, really quickly, ahh there used to be undelete. probably heaps of free tools on the internet. DOS deletes the first character of the file name. changes it to ?. You'll need to "use your linux tools" to reset the first character of the file name and then it recoginises it in the directory listing as a valid file. Ben
