Of course, this is entirely crap !! The ONLY thing that M$ CAN do is prevent you from re-using the licence... For example, I buy an IBM 300PL with Windows 98 installed - I then give that machine away to a school, sans O/S (or with Linux installed). I may NOT re-use the Windows licence provided with that machine on ANY other machine.... Not that I'd want to, but..... Their tactics are really starting to get bad...
