Very successfully, although I do find myself booting OS X a lot, just
because they've done a terrific job with it.
But yeah, there are *heaps* of people using them - they're particularly
popular amongst the GNOME hackers. At GUADEC earlier this month, there were
lots of them, all different colours of the toilet-seat design (like mine),
the new white iBooks and the Titanium PowerBooks.
tigert, Radek and jimmac got up to do their "Icons with The GIMP" talk, and
all three had big, beautiful TiBooks. Very nice. Everyone was playing games
with their inbuilt airports, too. :-)

Everyone at GUADEC, and most PPC owners I know are running Debian woody or
unstable, just because it's easy to get lots of software (the Debian
maintainers try to make the entire distribution available amongst the many
platforms that Debian runs on, which is a nice benefit). Mandrake and SuSE
have PPC versions out now, however, and you might prefer these as desktop
distributions.
You can always ask on the SLUG list for tips, as there's a few of us here
who have Mac/PPC boxes.
