Hello all, I've racked my brains and haven't been able to determine why things aren't working, so I'm posting here on the off chance someone has this all working for them.
The story: I've been using iprimus for about 18 months, late on 18th April I started having difficulty connecting to them. As I was flying shortly, I just switched to my backup provider (expensive, but there for a reason). Anyway, this weekend I had some time to try and sort things out and it appears that iprimus now require `mrru' (maximum reconstructred receive unit) set as 1506 but they do not setup multilink nor do they setup multilink endpoints. Looking through my logs I can see that the used to "accept" the fact that my pppd didn't know about multilink and let me on. Now it won't. That is with kernel 2.2.20 and PPP 2.3.11. Worse though, it also doesn't work with a multilink enabled kernel/ppp paid (2.4.18 / 2.4.11). Has anyone had any luck making use of iprimus? If so, I'd appreciate knowing which kernel, pppd versions you are using and if you are doing anything special to get it working. Annoyingly this all works fine using Windows (any version) and that is all iprimus support [*]. Thanks in advance, Anand [*]: To be honest I'm becoming extremely annoyed that companies won't support what I use. I'll be cancelling my service if I can't get it working by the end of this week. If anyone knows of companies which *explicitly* support Linux, please let me know (privately if you like). -- `` We are shaped by our thoughts, we become what we think.
