Tried that some time ago and I thought it sucked. I'll give it a second go.

I got hooked on Usenet in 1990 at Uni. At first I was only doing 1 or two
newsgroups once or twice a week but slowly things took a turn for the worse.
Within a year I reading 20 or 30 groups a day!!!

Fortunately I managed to get off Usenet when i left Uni and honestly, I
didn't do News for about 2 years. Then I discovered Linux, got myself on
the net and found all the Linux newsgroups. Soon I was back to my old bad
habits. 30 to 40 groups twice a day or more. My social life suffered and
my whole life seems to revolve around getting my next usenet fix.

Fortunately when I was close to hitting rock bottom, I met a wonderful
woman who brought me back to life. I've now been happily married for over
two years, but I still like to get an ocasional Usenet fix. Fortunately
I control it, not the other way around.
