Hi,

Your best bet is to email the entire SLUG community on our

mailing list - the address you sent mail to before was the mailing list
administrative address.

Thanks,

Subject: Linux and Star Products

Hi
below is a copy of my request to linuxcampus.net.
I did visit your last meeting in April and found it very interesting but definately not directly helpfull to me: myself, being too old and having too little time remaining to "hang out" under the Linux "bonnet". Were I fifty years younger yes I would. I hope you understand. But I still need help with my project, After a couple of  good people, Moyra was one I remember, spoke with me, I felt certain that help is available if I put a little effort into it myself. That I am doing but, my project demands so much of me.
Do you know of anyone in your organisation who might be interested in helping me get on top of the problem mentioned below??

Hello
I have been trying to get a complete Linux install with StarOffice (which we now use under win95) or with OpenOffice.org (no knowledge of yet). Unfortunately I cannot find a linux newbie friendly version of Linux which will connect to my Telstra bigpond.net ethernet broadband and installs the above Star software by default. I have found a Pocket Linux version (docs attached) which does handle the cable very well but I need it to allow me to install the Star s/w.
At 62 I am too old to become an expert in Linux.
Can you supply?
