Configure the printer to act as an LPR as well as a WindoZe printer?

A lot of "direct" network connection cards only run a WindoZe client by
default - consequently, any *nix box wanting to print to them has to A)
Run samba or similar, and print via the windoZe client in it, or B) muck
around wit hthe printer to enable LPR mode.

You didn't mention the type of printer, so I can't detail further, but I
know at least HP and Lexmark printers must have LPR mode explicitely
enabled before working.
