/etc/hosts:
192.168.10.10   lazarus lazarus.home.spankyhouse.net

$ hostname -f
lazarus

/etc/hosts:
192.168.10.10   lazarus.home.spankyhouse.net lazarus

$ hostname -f
lazarus.home.spankyhouse.net
