The kernel option by default for kernel source for debian are very strange. It appears that the kernel source package builder grabs hist own kernel setup and packages it. Very confusing for newbies to a build, should be the standard setup for an install kernel. On a similar thread. Is there a way of printing something vaguely human readable for a kernel config? I want to print out the kernel configs I used on the server for school so that it can be reproduced if the kernel source is wiped due to space.
