Haven't played with it myself, but it's had some good reviews on the
arch mailing lists. OpenCM is the third recent open source post-CVS CM
project I've heard about - the other two main contendors seem to be:

  Subversion: http://subversion.tigris.org/
  Arch: http://www.regexps.com/labnotes/devo-meta-x/view-topic/ArchRevCtl/IntroTopic

There's also Stellation (http://www.eclipse.org/stellation/index.html),
but I'm not sure what licence they're using.

I've been using arch on a few of my projects for the last couple of
months and it's working really nicely - fully distributed respositories,
sophisticated three-way merging ('star-merge'), and proper renames.

Cheers,
Gavin
