Depending on your distribution, you should be able to find a package
containing the source for the lilo version it installed.

In debian, you would do 'apt-get source lilo'
In redhat, you'll be looking for the source rpm.

This way, you get the actual version of lilo for your distribution, along
with any packaged changes/scripts they've produced.
