I have read the parts on whitelists and yes I am chrooting.
the thing is I keep getting an email from tolhurst.com.au
so what I have done is modified /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
to resemble something like this

whitelist_from @tolhurst.com.au

also I have a .spamassassin in my home directory I have modified that
file to include the above line

then I restarted postfix the email from tolhurst is still considered as
spam.
