Dear SLUG I am endeavouring to ftp files between an i-book OSX and my Linux box SuSE 7.3.
I have ifconfig'd the Linux box for address for sit0 at 192.168.1.1 and the I-Book en0 at 192.168.1.2 Both say they are up on ifconfig -a Both ping themselves but will not ping each other. I have tried this with 5cat crossover ethernet cable and also tried straight cable, just in case, as the i-book Help said it did not need crossover cable. Any advice greatly appreciated.
