Why get 2 or 4 modems when you only want one :-) What you are after is the Netcomm IN5710 an internal hardware PCI modem. Not sure about the internals etc other than to say it's a REAL hardware modem not even sure where to pick them up (or even if you can retail) but that's what your after.
