if your using the ne modules, you'll also have to use a module called 8390
in conjunction.
I have a x486 with 2 NE2000 cards and works a dream ....... I'm using Coyote
Linux if thats of any interest. If you have any more questions please feel
free to ask, am not a programmer but like to contribute back to the GPL
