Ian,

I think a lot of what you, and many other people, have heard is provably
false. I'm a KDE and Red Hat user. I've been using all three betas for
8.0 and spend a lot of time in bugzilla reporting and finding out what's
up and what's being done and any deficiences in the distro.

I've put together a couple of pages consisting of everything I know that
Red Hat have modified about KDE and what I understand to the rationale
behind the changes.

Since most of what you'll hear about this is topic from people who have
no experience actually using Red Hat 8.0 or Null, it should make for
interesting reading.

Its currently uploading, but should be at www.cyber.com.au/users/mikem
around 7:30 tonight.
