Hi all,
I've installed Woody but can's get the Xserver to load. KDE aborts when
initialising peripherals. My log indicates that Generic mouse: can't open
input device. Then it unloads the mouse module then see you later to X.
Interestingly I get a gui log in with functioning mouse but after log in KDE
aborts. I've tried dpkg-reconfigure xserver but no result. I've tried
changing the generic mouse's pathway to point to the configured mouse. I've
also tried commenting out all reference to the generic mouse in X's config
file, no result. Do I need to remove reference to Zaxis mapping buttons 4/5
(I have old p/s 2) ?
Thanks
Grant
