I have a partitioned harddisk on which I have win98, win2k and Redhat 7.1. After I upgraded to Redhat 8.0. The machine cannot boot to linux. It came up with a blue screen and only has two letters "LI" at the top left hand corner. If I use the boot diskette (the one it prompted me to create during the installation process), of course it can boots to linux. I noticed that the upgrade did not modify the lilo.conf.
Here are some more info. I'm not sure if it is useful though. Long time ago, I used to use lilo to switch to other OS. I had lilo installed on the MBR. Then later I found a program that runs on Windows to let me switch to the OS I want. I used that program to copy the MBR to a file so I can boot to Linux using w2k's boot manager. Now I can only boot to Windows but not Linux any more unless I use the Linux boot diskette.
Any suggestion on how to fix this problem please?
Thanks in advance.
Lee
