Yep, I know how to put things on hold.

What I'm trying to do is when I do an "apt-get upgrade" only packages
with new version numbers NOT revision numbers are upgraded.

e.g. lsof           4.64-1

will only be upgraded if 4.65 or higher becomes available not 4.64-2.

Is that possible??
